The Quetzal Família wines are only produced in year in wich we can guarantee an extraordinary quality on these wines. Our Quetzal Família White 2014 comes from the colonel’s vineyard, the oldest vineyard on our property. The Antão Vaz grapes are harvested by hand, after a light crushing and a gentle pressing, the must will ferment in new 500 lts French oak barrels and ages for 18 months with weekly batoning. After bottling in magnum bottles, it will age for 24 months. Magnum bottle will help the wine stay at its best for a longer period of time.

Our excellent white Reserva is produced exclusively from pure Antão Vaz grapes from our oldest vineyards. They are picked by hand and processed by gravity in our modern cellar. They ferment in French oak barrels for 6 months and age in our cellars. The result is a complex aroma of tropical fruits, toast and spices.

Our excellent Verdelho is created from grapes from a plot located in the lower parts of Quinta do Quetzal, in more fertile and fresher lands. Grapes are hand-picked and cooled 24 hours before being processed naturally by gravity in our modern winery. A true Verdelho experience.

Our winemakers have selected the best grapes of the Antão Vaz variety, resulting in a fresh, mineral white wine with great aromatic complexity. Only part of the wine is fermented in French oak barrels, giving the wine a very discreet, elegant and woody taste.

NewQuetzal Rich White is a fortified wine made exclusively from the Antão Vaz variety, typical of the Vidigueira region. The grapes from the Vinha das Pedras plot were harvested at a high stage of maturity, in small boxes and immediately transported to the winery, having been immediately cooled to a temperature of 10 ºC. Quetzal Rich White is ideal to be drunk as an aperitif, accompanied also by dried fruits.
