Our Quetzal Familia Tinto 2016 comes from the stones vineyard. The grapes are hand-picked and then de-stemmed into a French oak vats where fermentation with indigenous yeasts will take place. After fermentation the wines are aging during at least 36 months in 500 ltr french barrels. Has a stage 24 months in bottles.
Consume immediately or store for up to 5 years in a cool, dark place. Open at least 1 hour before consumption, or if possible, decant the wine and serve it with 12ºC.
Quetzal Familia Tinto is only produced in years when we can guarantee extraordinary quality. The magnum bottle will help the wine stay at its best for a longer period of time. With a dark garnet color, an aroma of enormous complexity, notes of dark chocolate, black cherry and spices from the barrel. On the palate it is full-bodied and has smooth, polished tannins with a persistent and balanced finish.
